Castro Barros Advogados supported Grupo Abril de Comunicações in concluding the Individual Transaction Agreement, which was the 1st one carried out according to the new rules established for companies under judicial rehabilitation.

The project has become a model of negotiation and opens an agenda that promises to move the Ministry of Economy in the second half of the year.

With the agreement, the company equalized its tax debt and waived points it was disputing in court. It was debating, for example, the legality of the 30% limit for offsetting tax losses calculated by an incorporated company. PGFN granted discounts and extended payment terms.
